Back to School Mini Sessions are something I look forward to every year! This year, with everything going on with COVID-19, I was unsure if they were going to happen, but once Florida decided to open schools back… I knew I had to plan something! Not only because it’s a yearly tradition, but also because I knew this was going to be a year to go down in history and these moments need to be preserved!!
I decided to choose the Hardee County Public Library as the location because they had the cutest and most colorful mural painted a few years back! It was absolutely PERFECT!! Not only was it the most adorable and vibrant backdrop, but it made all of the pictures look so joy-filled. Which, if you know me, you know that made my photographer heart oh so happy!
Day one happened just a couple days after the kids went back to school, and when the day came, I was lucky enough to photograph 8 different sessions with some of the cutest kiddos! As soon as I got set up, we started hearing thunder BUT luckily the rain held off the entire time and every sweet kid was able to get in and out just in time! It was perfect!
Day two was supposed to take place just one week after day one BUT Florida weather decided to throw us a curve ball and force us to reschedule at the last minute. We pushed it back one week and I was feeling so optimistic, we didn’t have a rainy evening at all. But then…. in typical 2020 fashion… RAIN! And not just rain… a STORM just as my second client was finishing up. By that point, we couldn’t change locations and had to roll with it. If that doesn’t sound like the epitome of 2020, I don’t know what does! Luckily I am blessed with the most INCREDIBLE clients and they completely trusted me and just embraced the crazy!! We grabbed the clear umbrellas and took some adorable pictures!
Once again, Back to School Mini Sessions were a HIT! Masks, adorable signs from Southern Charm Sign Co., the amazing Library mural and the cutest kids made this year one to remember! I’m so excited to be sharing my favorites today! Happy scrolling 🙂
