From the moment I met Laurie, I knew she was a Megan Renee Bride. We met up for dinner along with her Maid of Honor to discuss her Downtown Lakeland Wedding that just so happened to be on MY BIRTHDAY!! I just knew that there was no better way to spend my 23rd birthday than by capturing Laurie & Geoff’s once in a lifetime day.

Laurie told me that the thing she cherishes most about her relationship with Geoff is the love for the Lord that they both have. The couple met at church 5 years ago & she had no interest in him at first, but after some pursuing on his end, she agreed to go out on a date with him & from then on, they were inseparable.

WHEN THEIR WEDDING DAY FINALLY ARRIVED…

I was so excited! I woke up that morning & my mom had made me homemade donuts. I, then, opened some birthday gifts & then headed to the Sorosis Building in Lakeland to start the detail shots!

When I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest people! All of Laurie’s bridesmaids were so kind, I felt like one of the girls the entire day! Everyone was relaxed & helping Laurie to have the most stress-free wedding day.

It was raining on & off all throughout the day. One minute it was pouring down rain & the next it was clear. We never knew how long the rain would last, but we never had to change our timeline! God came through & provided us with just enough time & just enough light each time we needed to take pictures so Laurie & Geoff could get that experience they deserved.

ONCE THE CEREMONY BEGAN…

I immediately could feel the love. Geoff’s reaction to seeing his Bride for the first time was priceless. His love was radiating off of him, I couldn’t help but tear up myself.

She told me from our initial consultation how important Christ was to them & that was so evident throughout their entire day. The prayers prayed before hand, the words spoken during the ceremony, the vows exchanged, the speeches shared during the reception & the way the two of them loved each other… all of it displayed their deep love for Christ so well.

SUMMERTIME GOT THE BEST OF ME…

& I totally slacked with getting this blog post up sooner, but I seriously cannot wait for you to scroll through all the photos. I have to say that not every image or every moment of the day was picture perfect. The Bridal Room wasn’t spotless. You can see some rain drops coming down in many photos. But… the emotions displayed in all of the photos are what, I believe, truly makes this so special.
